Cluttered Windows Desktop? Introducing Stardock’s Fences App…

Icon Clutter – Just try to find something you need on your desktop!!! I can’t tell you how many times I have faced a sea of application, folder, and shortcut icons. Here is a great little utility to help you sort this out, and it works really good…I installed Stardock’s Fences application a while ago to see if it was worth the effort… I liked it so well that I un-installed and re-installed Fences a couple of times to make you this video!  Here is why…

Group Applications or Data for Easy Access!

Fast Easy Installation

This is a quick and easy way to help tame your desktop to pull the best productivity from your computer. The best part of this – Stardock’s Fences application is  >FREE<. Not only FREE, but fully worth installing.

Find Your Applications & Data FAST

When I have a client on the phone or need to get rapid access to key information, Fences helps me get what I need FAST!  This has been invaluable to me.

I made this quick little video to show you how easy this is to install and setup:

Instantly Clear Your Desktop

As you could probably tell, the ability to instantly clear your desktop of icons is a *big* deal for me! :)   It helps me look quite organized during WebEx conference calls, or when I want to show a process to a client when I share MY desktop.

Just a ‘double click’ of the mouse anywhere on the desktop clears your desktop of all icons! Double click the mouse again, and Tah Dah! All the icons are back!

Drag and Drop Makes This Easy

After you have Fences installed for a while you will see just how easy it is to streamline your workflow. If you are simply a casual user, you will also find it easier to find what you need when you need it!

Organizing your data folders for easy access is a *snap*. Applications can group together based on how you use them. I have one group of applications for my Web Apps, another for client support apps, and yet another group for research, and a project group.

I hope this helps you get yourself organized for the New Year. 2012 is just around the corner you know…

Till we talk again, Be Safe Out There!

AND - Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah !
